Roll up, roll up! I’ve been invited to the circus! Well actually it’s not really a circus it is a “big tent”. Ofsted inspector Robin Hammerton has asked the UK association for Music Education – Music Mark to coordinate a coming together of representatives from schools, music hubs, music education organisations and individuals to develop helpful guidance for schools and hubs on music curriculum and assessment. I am delighted to be invited along.

I decided to try and collect some primary class teacher opinions on teaching music so I set up a survey monkey and asked teachers on twitter to complete. It isn’t very scientific and only reflects the views of teachers on twitter who are probably not very representative but that said I’ve now got views from over 300 class teachers. Over the weekend I will publish the results here.
